For clients trading on instruments on our Pro accounts, commission calculation will be based on the opening spread of the instruments traded and your partner level.
All instruments available for trade on a Pro account do not have any suffixes. For example, EURUSD and GBPUSD.
Calculating commission
The commission calculation starts at 17% of the opening spread and increases to 25% based on the partner level. Let’s look at an example.
If a client registers under your partner link and trades 3 lots GBPUSD from the Forex group in a Pro account. The opening prices at the time were:
- Bid: 1.11920
- Ask: 1.11975
If we assume that you are a Bronze partner (18% commission size):
Opening spread (in pips) = (Ask Price - Bid Price) / Pip Size
= (1.11975 - 1.11920) / 0.0001
= 5.5 pips
To find the pip value for a particular order, use our Trading Calculator. According to the calculator, the pip value for this order is 30 USD.
Therefore, Commission = 0.18 x 5.5 x USD 30 = USD 29.70
- The commission will only be paid after the client closes the trade.
- The commission is subject to a bonus coefficient where applicable.
For orders executed by Close by function, the formula is:
Commission = Reward size x Opening spread in pips x Pip value
For CloseBy orders, 1 spread is counted, while hedged orders are counted as 2 spreads.
